Chrismarie Banardt is a dental hygienist in Cape Town with over 14 years of industry experience. During the COVID 19 pandemic, she decided to create a competitive environmentally friendly alternative to plastic oral care.

The Kindbrush happily supports Develop Dental, a registered NGO working to increase access to quality dental care and oral hygiene education among children in under-resourced communities in and around Cape Town, South Africa.

For every online order, we at The Kindbrush donate R5 towards this worthy cause. This means that you as our customer get to help combat epidemic levels of dental decay and enable families to make healthier choices about nutrition, health and personal development. https://www.developdental.org/

INFO ON THE PRODUCTS:

The brushes and glass floss dispenser are manufactured in China, the home of Bamboo. KindBrush is aware about the carbon footprint of shipping and would prefer to have it manufactured here in SA. The Bite&Brush tablets and Kindlips lip balm are made in Cape Town. So are all the design work, printing and packaging.

Kindbrush uses Moso Bamboo which is inedible to pandas so they do not harm them. The bamboo is sourced from a sustainable forest in China.

Why Bamboo?

Being naturally antibacterial, antifungal and water-resistant, it’s hard to find a more ideal material for a toothbrush than bamboo.

Bamboo, one of the fastest growing plants on earth, can shoot up to 90cm per day and reaches maturity within a few months. It’s a truly sustainable material.

And since bamboo is resistant to pests, it means that it’s all organically farmed.

Brushes should be replaced every 3 months
